Graduated in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Saulo is a specialist in pit optimization, mine planning and production program, CAPEX and OPEX estimation and economic analysis. He has worked with several commodities, including gold, zinc, copper, iron and lead.
Luiz Gabriel Oliveira
Graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in mining engineering. Specialized in pit optimization, mine sequencing, fleet sizing and economic analysis projects. He has experience in iron ore, gold, coal, zinc, copper, iron and lead projects.
Geologist graduated from the University of Brasília (UnB), with over 25 years of experience in the mineral sector. He accumulated vast knowledge in exploratory research, geological prospecting, mapping, modeling, density, geometallurgy and QA / QC. Walter worked on several projects in Brazil and abroad, with various types of deposits.
Graduated from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo with a master degree in Mineral Engineering by the same institution.
He is a specialist in mineral process and hydrometallurgy , with over 35 years of experience in projects of process development, business evaluation, optimization of plants of phosphate, Au, K, Cu, Ni and Fe.
Geologist from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2022) and Technician in Administration from the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service, with experience in the areas of Economic Geology, Geological Modeling and Mining Law.
She worked as a scholarship holder at the UFMG Institute of Geosciences, focusing on sequence stratigraphy studies in the Quadrilátero Ferrífero, and also as an implicit geological modeling monitor and associate student at Seequent, in addition to being a member of the Student Chapter – Society of Economic Geologists of UFMG.
Guido Goris Vernooy
Graduated in Geological Engineering from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP) and Post-graduated in Hydrogeological Engineering from PUC Minas, he has experience in exploration geology, mine geology, hydrogeology and speleology. He has aptitude in field work, drilling planning, sampling, geological mapping, quality control and assurance (QAQC). Experience as a geologist in the mineral sector in iron commodities and in the environmental sector in the area of caving.
Mining Engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). She has technical education in electro-technic- industrial automation from the Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG). She has already participated as a fellow in the development of functional prototypes in the Prototyping and Innovation laboratory of the physics department at UFMG.
Carlos Henrique Saúde
Mining Engineering graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He has already participated as a volunteer in a scientific initiation project in iron ore processing and served as a fellow in the Monitoring Program of the Mining Engineering department, in the Mine Project discipline.

Able to develop computer simulation models for production calculations, identification of bottlenecks, analysis of equipment traffic, sizing, study of illustrative scenarios for improvement of production processes in mines (open pit and underground) through the ARENA software.Able to create and develop control spreadsheets for monitoring mine operational indicators and prepare daily mining reports. Able to lead technical and/or operational supervision teams in the areas of drilling, blasting, loading and transportation. Able to perform statistical data treatment, construction and interpretation of pareto charts for analysis of equipment operating losses in order to point out improvements to mine productivity.

He has a Technical Education in Mechanics and a Technical Degree in Administration from the National Service of Industrial Learning. He served as Vice President (2022) and Marketing Director (2021) at the Mine-Metallurgical Guild of UFMG, and also served as President of the Center for Mining Studies of UFMG in 2022.
Natália Lulli Milani
Graduating in Geology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and technical in Environment from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the Southeast of Minas Gerais (IFSudesteMG). He has experience in the area of Geotechnics with participation in basic and detailed projects of geotechnical structures and in the area of Economic Geology with participation in projects in the ferrous deposits of the Iron Quadrangle. In addition, he worked as a fellow in Environmental Engineering and Hydrology projects at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). He was president of the Junior Enterprise of Mining Engineering and Geology of UFMG and is currently a member of the project sector in the Student Chapter – Society of Economic Geologists of UFMG.
Student of Mining Engineering at UniBH, with technical training in Metallurgy and Steel from SENAI. She works as a monitor in the Deswik Universities program, providing software training. He started his career in a steel mill, where he worked for two years. Subsequently, he worked in an underground mine for three years and currently works in mining consultancy.
Rüdiger is a Mining Engineer with 26 years of experience in Open Cast Mining Operations and Consultancy. He worked in numerous consultancy projects worldwide and specialized in planning, development and closure of opencast mining projects with special focus on unconsolidated rock and continuous mining equipment such bucket wheel excavators, conveyor as well as in pit crushing and conveying.
Thomas holds 18 years of experience in the mining industry and has been leading and supporting consulting projects worldwide. His focus is on mine ventilation and the management of mine and exhaust gases. Thomas worked on engineering studies of various levels as well as optimisation of operations and safety. He was involved in the investigation of explosions and gas outbursts, always targeting the safe re-commissioning of operations.
Dietmar is a Mechanical Engineer with 40 years of experience in Mining Operations and Consultancy. As head of DMT’s mining machines test department he worked in numerous consultancy projects worldwide in mine planning and development. His experience covers underground as well as open pit mining equipment. Dietmar worked on extraction, conveying, bulk handling and on commissioning projects, e.g. underground extraction systems, belt conveyors, bucket wheel excavators and spreaders.
Axel is a Geotechnical Engineer with 22 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering and Consultancy. He worked in numerous projects worldwide as project manager and engineer with the main focus in geotechnical design projects for underground and open pit mines as well as other geotechnical cavities like tunnels or caverns. He is specialized in stability calculations with numerical, analytical and empirical methods, support design for underground cavities, slope design for open pits as well as preparation and evaluation of geotechnical design studies.
is an economic geologist specialising in geology, exploration, resource definition and economic assessments. He graduated 1985 and obtained in 1990 a PhD (Geology) with a thesis covering, inter alia, the relationship between platinum-group elements and chromitites from Rhodes University, South Africa. Bernd has more than 25 years of experience in the area of exploration and development of mineral projects from target generation, grass-roots exploration to resource definition and economic viability studies.
Bernd is a registered member of the South African Council of Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP). He is a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists and a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Bernd has been engaged in exploration projects targeting PGE, Cr, Ni, Co, Fe, V, Ti, REE, Au, Ag, Cu, Pb, Zn, and Ta with major and minor mining and exploration companies world-wide. Since 2008, Bernd is a principal economic geologist at DMT GmbH & Co. KG.
With 22 years of experience in the sector, Nikolaos Christou possesses a sound background in senior professional roles including international mining project development, production planning, operations management, and mining consulting.
His experience comprises conventional trackless underground and open pit mining operations as well as continuous exploitation techniques applied in opencast mines. During his career, he has successfully conducted projects in cross-cultural environments across four continents.
